Colloquium

Master Research Colloquium 1 & 2

Master 1

In the first phase of your Master’s, I will help you define your Master’s thesis topic and problematic, widening your perspectives and theoretical knowledge from different points of view.

You will be encouraged to explore your topic in an interdisciplinary way, to choose references, narrative and concepts from various fields of knowledge such as philosophy, literature, anthropology, ethology, art and design history, cultural studies, mythology, etc. You will learn to represent and organise your thoughts and ideas, to connect them to existing theories and to develop your own way to write, to find your own formats. You will also be encouraged to share your questions, findings and methods with other Master’s students from other disciplines, and this exchange of good practices will lead you to present and develop your argumentation in a broader cultural context.

The outcome of this first phase of research will be a presentation in which the results are summarised and presented to the supervisors from the respective subject areas - in product design as a Master's proposal, in the other subject areas as a presentation on the state of work.

Master 2

In the second phase of your Master's, we will continue the work initiated in MA 1. I will help you refine your Master's topic and problematic, structure your thesis and prepare for the final presentation. You will be encouraged to share your findings and methods with other students, during public presentations throughout the semester.

The colloquium will be held in English.
