Design Anthropology & Material Culture

This seminar will explore a range of broadly anthropological approaches to matter, materials and making in different cultural contexts. In particular, we will critically examine how these may inform our understandings of what sustainability might mean, to whom and in what contexts, and look at regenerative models of growing and making designed to encourage flourishing in precarious times.
