“The Trip” is a comic about my unspectacular month-long bicycle trip in Brandenburg in the spring of 2018, which was intended to be a leap out of my comfort zone. Despite my fears and reluctance, I actually enjoyed the trip, only now to feel confused by my unchanged nature and the anticlimax of my everyday routine. Furthermore, the process of drawing the comic, which I had always considered my comfort zone, proved to be an artistic and emotional challenge. “The Trip” is an anti-memoir and a documentation of my artistic growth and search for identity.
